LocMachina offers a holistic approach to client-focused localization consulting.
Our complete overview services range from localization production process consulting, to tools research, to training and mentoring.
Our services are geared at internal localization teams within larger organizations, as well as language service providers. We also collaborate with localization and machine translation tools providers, giving us privileged access to the latest technology.
We believe in collaboration and partnership; having us as partner will help build or restructure your localization resources on a stronger foundation and ensure your chances of success.
LocMachina is based in Canada, but our consultants will meet you in your environment, anywhere in the world.
LOCALIZATION PROCESS
LocMachina can help you set-up the right process and structure for a streamlined and optimized localization production. Our consultants will meet with stakeholders in your organization to identify your localization needs, internal capacity and external partners. We can help document your localization process, as well as advise and help build your ideal localization team.
Our services are flexible and can help existing localization teams looking to optimize processes, or build a localization team from scratch.
TRAINING
LocMachina offers training services on localization tools and processes. We also help develop training materials for your existing or newly optimized localization process. We can work with partners and help further your team's expertise with train the trainer programs.
Training can be delivered onsite or remotely.
We also offer training on Phrase TMS (formerly Memsource).
LOCALIZATION ENGINEERING
LocMachina offers Localization engineering services to help your team meet production deadlines. Your material will go through our rigorous total-quality assurance before delivery. We can process files from any CAT tool or native format. We have experience processing files in over 40 languages. We can help pre-process your files for translation, and post-process / engineer them after translation.
Post-processing can also include testing for localization defects.
CAT AND MT RESEARCH
LocMachina can be your partner in researching and testing Computer-Aided Translation (CAT), and Machine Translation (MT) tools, to suit your evolving needs as technology changes. Free up valuable resources in your organization by bringing in our experts to do the heavy lifting.
OUR HISTORY
Michèle Guignard founded LocMachina in 2016, and is the current CEO.
She has been an active member of the localization business community since 2000, and has worked on all sides of the industry: vendor, client, and localization tool developer, after which she became an Independent Consultant.
Michèle has managed L10N engineering and testing teams. She has trained engineers, translators, and project managers in North America, Europe, and Asia, and has given talks at Canadian universities and colleges.
As a Certified Memsource (now Phrase TMS) Trainer, she is one of a handful in North America.
